Beemster Goat Cheese
In the Beemster polder there are some farmers who have always kept a few goats to satisfy the demand of fresh goat’s milk from the local residents in the Beemster polder. In 2007, our Master Cheesemaker realized that Beemster’s Goats milk was as unique as our cows milk and requested to have an opportunity to use some of the milk collected from
the farms to craft a cheese. After a few recipes were tested, the Beemster Premium Goat recipe was born. Premium Goat Matured was then submitted to the 550 farmers of the Beemster coop for their approval. With unanimous
approval of the coop members, the Premium Goat recipe was added to the award winning line of Premium Gourmet Dutch Cheese.
